She returned to Torys as an associate and continued her busy practice as a civil litigator. In 1993, Jean chose to relocate to Muskoka. This move enabled her to enjoy life in a smaller centre and to become more involved in the community, while still pursuing her legal career.
Since coming to Muskoka, she has added criminal litigation and wills and estates to her practice. In Muskoka, she worked as an associate with Lee, Roche & Kelly for several years, before opening her own practice in September 2000.
